Abstract
In an IPPR collection of essays on employment in a digitised economy, edited by Tony Dolphin, the chapter asks how governments should respond to the digital revolution. It is sceptical that economies will create enough new jobs to offset those lost, and therefore focuses on reallocating work among more people and on a public job guarantee.
