Andreas Klasen, George Luarsabishvili, Tengiz Lomitashvili, Kiyoshi Taniguchi, Kristian Rosbach and Robert Suter · ADB Central and West Asia Working Paper Series 13 · June 2024

Abstract

The working paper explores the challenges Georgian exporters face and suggests solutions to promote foreign trade. It finds that exporters can benefit significantly from a comprehensive export promotion strategy with an ecosystem-based ‘team’ approach, targeted marketing support and customer matchmaking. It also stresses the importance of public financial support and risk mitigation for internationally oriented firms.
