Abstract
Based on the Futures Triangle framework and 35 interviews and expert discussions, the article assesses what key geopolitical and trade megatrends mean for export credit agencies. It finds mandates evolving towards a ‘growth promoter’ role within whole-of-government approaches, a need for new products, and growing pressure to balance export growth, SME support, inclusive trade, climate action and impact in developing markets. The research was funded by UK Export Finance.
