Coronahilfen für die Exportwirtschaft: staatliche Exportkreditagenturen als Kriseninstrumente

How did European governments use export credit agencies to keep trade going during the Covid-19 crisis, and what should they learn?

Andreas Klasen · Die Corona-Transformation (Springer), 271–277 · 2022

Abstract

Export credit agencies play a key role when markets fail, and especially in crises such as the Covid-19 pandemic. The chapter (in German) shows how Denmark, Germany, Poland and Austria, among others, acted quickly in 2020 with more funding, new guarantee products, better terms and simpler procedures. It concludes that an overarching strategy, a joint promotion approach and impact-oriented institutions remain important.
